Pastor Brian Ralston
Associate Pastor at Centenary Church in Modesto, California

Brian Ralston grew up in Pennsylvania, and enjoyed his years in the East with the changing seasons, the wonderful food, and his favorite sports teams; the Nittany Lions of Penn State and the Pittsburg Steelers!  After earning his undergraduate degree from Penn State and a Masters in Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 2000, Brian relocated to Modesto, California where he has been serving at Centenary Church for thirteen years as an Associate Pastor.  One member of his congregation says Brian is a “great storyteller, and one who can really bring home the truth powerfully.”  His ministry priority has been to encourage believers to build strong relationships with Jesus that will then spark them to build strong relationships with each other and with non-believers, all of which will bring God glory.

Due to childhood cancer, Brian grew up visually impaired, but had useable eyesight until about 10 years ago.  He has been blind since 2004 and has worked with his guide dog, Lansing, since December 2009.  Despite his visual disability, Brian lives his life with great joy and delight knowing that God is using him for His glory, and using his disability as a great “bridge-builder” in connecting with many people in many situations.

In his spare time, Brian enjoys traveling with his wife, Kathy, reading biographies, history and theology, and walking 3-4 miles a day.  In 2012, he and Lansing walked a total of 1,336 miles!

Praise the Lord for bringing Brian to us this year – may the Lord use him this weekend as he teaches, preaches, and encourages us in our own personal walks with the Lord.
