Sharing the “Good News” at Little Black Spot Mountain
PASTOR HOWARD CHAN
PaLM has been sending teams from the New York/New Jersey region to Little Black Spot Mountain (LBSM) on the Navajo Reservation for more than twenty years. The teams are sent to put on a week-long Vacation Bible School to share “the Good News” with those living in that community. Join us to learn a brief history of this short-term missions trip, our role in bringing the “Good News” to the Navajo living in LBSM, and a Gospel tool that is simple to use and easy to learn.
Disciple-Making Movements: Practical Tools to Disciple Others
Sam & Courtney Green
Jesus' command is clear: “Go and make disciples.” But what is a disciple? How do we become one ourselves? And how are we to make them? In America today, we have a very strategic opportunity to share Christ with international students and immigrants from places where it is very difficult for missionaries to enter. How do we ignite disciple-making movements among future world leaders studying on college campuses in America right now? How can we effectively share the gospel with Hindu and Muslim immigrants and then train them to reach their own people? This workshop will provide practical tools that can be used to make disciples of Jesus who are equipped to make disciples of others.
Just Grace: How the Gospel Inspires Service
Raleigh Sadler
One way in which God desires us to love others is to help free those who are oppressed and powerless. What role can Christians play in ending human trafficking and other forms of injustice in the world? How can we meet spiritual as well as physical needs. This workshop will show us that the answer to physical and spiritual brokenness lie in the same place: the Good News of Jesus Christ. We will address what God says about justice and practical ways to live this out as individuals and churches. We will discover how we can intentionally share the Good News as we meet the needs of those around us.
